Saphlux Exhibited World’s First QD Integrated Micro-LED Chip in Display Week 2021
The Society for Information Display (SID) hosted its 58th International Symposium, Seminar, and Exhibition-known as Display Week 2021-during May 17-21. This world’s leading event drew exhibitors and attendees from more than 50 countries. At the virtual event, the industry-leading companies including BOE, Tianma, Samsung, and LG Display exhibited their latest technologies and products in Mini/Micro-LED, OLED/AMOLED, and other new displays, bringing the most cutting-edge innovations to the display industry.
Saphlux as one of the exhibitors, following the previously released NPQD Micro-LED Color Conversion Technology in Display Week 2019, now brought NPQD R-series (Red) and T-series (RGB) Micro-LED chips. Using proprietary NPQD chip-scale integration technology, a nano-porous GaN layer is formed inside a blue Micro-LED wafer to integrate with quantum dots to achieve efficient, reliable, and addressable R-G-B pixels in a monolithic chip. This technology greatly improves performance, reduces system cost, and simplifies manufacturing to enable mass production of Micro-LED displays, showing broad market prospects in applications such as fine-pitch displays, automotive displays, and AR/MR.
