Saphlux CEO Dr. Chen Chen Discusses Innovations in Micro-LED and Quantum Dot Display Technologies at Leading Industry Summits

Recently, Dr. Chen Chen, founder and CEO of Saphlux, delivered keynote presentations at three international technology conferences: MicroLED Connect, the DSCC AR/VR Display Summit, and a technical symposium hosted by the Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (CIE/USA, SF Bay Area Chapter). Dr. Chen shared in-depth insights into Saphlux's latest technological advancements and breakthroughs in Micro-LED display technology, quantum dot color conversion technology, and quantum dot direct-view displays.

With the rapid rise of "AI+AR" technology globally, the demand for low-cost, all-day wearable, full-color smart glasses is continually increasing. In his speech, Dr. Chen pointed out that Micro-LED display technology, with its miniaturization, high brightness, and low power consumption, has become one of the core technologies for AR glasses. However, the large-scale mass production of full-color Micro-LED displays remains a key technical challenge in the industry. Leveraging its leading NPQD® (Nano-Pores Quantum Dot) technology, Saphlux has successfully overcome this challenge, laying a solid foundation for the commercial mass production of full-color Micro-LED microdisplays.

Additionally, Dr. Chen highlighted Saphlux's introduction of the R-series red chips, based on NPQD® quantum dot color conversion technology, and the quantum dot direct-view commercial display products. These two innovative products have now entered mass production and have been successfully delivered to end customers. The R-series red light chip achieves efficient color conversion through quantum dot technology, offering excellent luminous efficiency, color accuracy, and wavelength consistency. The quantum dot direct-view display products excel in color stability, wide viewing angles, and high color fidelity due to the consistency of chip materials, earning widespread acclaim across multiple application fields.

During the three conferences, Dr. Chen also shared Saphlux's successful experiences in the field of quantum dot direct-view large-screen technology and further elaborated on the company’s future strategic plans for the commercial display sector. He discussed how Saphlux's NPQD® technology will accelerate the development of monolithic full-color Micro-LED microdisplays, driving the commercialization of all-day wearable, full-color AR glasses.

Through this series of presentations, Saphlux demonstrated its technological expertise and innovation capabilities in the fields of Micro-LED and quantum dot technology. Dr. Chen stated that the company will continue to focus on technological innovation, continually advancing the application and commercialization of Micro-LED and quantum dot technology, and injecting new momentum and vitality into the future development of global display technology.
